Building the cylinder out of 3/4 inch copper pipe and other copper sheet scrapes. And don't forget the solder... lots and lots of solder. Silver solder is recommended because it has a higher strength. I do not however recommend brazing. Brazing will remove the annealing from the copper and will make it very soft. Possibly too soft. That's just my opinion though. Plus I don't have brazing equipment. I am thinking this could also be done with JB Weld and epoxy putty. • Supersonic detonation of hydrogen and oxygen gas

Chief Scientist Carl Nelson demonstrates how the combustion of hydrogen gas depends on the amount of oxygen present. A balloon filled with 100% hydrogen is ignited with a small flame. As the flame ignites the hydrogen gas, it combines with oxygen in the surrounding air. A large, but relatively slowly moving ball of fire is created. This is called a deflagration. Next, a mixture of two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen gas is used to create a foam of soap bubbles. The amount of oxygen available here makes a significant difference in the size and sound of the reaction. 2 H2(g) + O2(g) → 2 H2O(g) + Energy This reaction proceeds so quickly (a detonation) that a supersonic shock wave is generated. The sound level is significantly louder and the ball of flame generated is much smaller. N...

  • WHAT is Spontaneous Human Combustion ????

Spontaneous combustion occurs when an object (in the case of spontaneous human combustion, a person) bursts into flame from a chemical reaction within, apparently without being ignited by an external heat source. The first known account of spontaneous human combustion came from the Danish anatomist Thomas Bartholin in 1663, who described how a woman in Paris "went up in ashes and smoke" while she was sleeping. The straw mattress on which she slept was unmarred by the fire. In 1673, a Frenchman named Jonas Dupont published a collection of spontaneous combustion cases in his work "De Incendiis Corporis Humani Spontaneis." The hundreds of spontaneous human combustion accounts since that time have followed a similar pattern: The victim is almost completely consumed, usually inside his or her h...

Do not run the engine hard after start-up. Most people know you should let your engine warm up before running it hard, but many cars only have coolant gauges. Engine oil tends to take longer to heat up, because you don’t have a thermostat like the coolant does, which isolates the coolant in the engine block and regulates its temperature. Oil that isn’t heated up won’t flow as fast as oil at operating condition, which means you’ll have less protection at engine start up. This is especially true for turbocharged vehicles, because you also have oil feeding the bearings of the turbocharger, which spins at insanely...

What happens if your car runs out of engine oil? Watching Cars Warm Up In Infrared - https://youtu.be/n_CQzBc6GbM Subscribe for new videos every Wednesday! - https://goo.gl/VZstk7 Watch A Mercedes Run With No Oil On A Track (Car Throttle) https://youtu.be/CfipRXooCTM Products Used: FLIR T1K Camera - http://amzn.to/2mgV8XS Affordable Thermal Camera - http://amzn.to/2j2gnNh in this video we’re going to be discussing what happens when an engine has no oil. As a demonstration, we’ll be viewing an engine with and without oil running. This is the exact same engine on the left and the right, on the left with oil, and on the right without. Both engines will start at the exact same time, but the video on the right was filmed 24 hours after the video on the left, allowing for the engine to completely cool. This is a 212 cc air-cooled single-cylinder Harbor Freight engine. There are five points we’re monitoring on each engine. Point one is the crankcase, below the level at which oil will rest. Point two is the top of the crankcase, where there obviously won’t be any oil resting near. Point three is the air-cooled cylinder bore. Point four is the exhaust pipe exiting the cylinder before entering the muffler, and point 5 is the valve cover. This is a pushrod style valve train with overhead valves. Opening the crankcase reveals the permanent damage which occurred. First of all, look at the small amount of oil that didn’t quite make it out while draining. It’s quite dark, and this is after a 15 minute run with oil, and 15 minutes without, in a brand new engine. The oil which remained in the drained engine is clearly quite dirty, and actually it has quite a bit of metal content in it, as you can see reflecting as I move around the towel. Examining further, I removed the connecting rod cap from the crankshaft. This is the bearing the crank rotates on. You can see the scored, less reflective surface of the cap. Indeed, you can see the scratches on the crankshaft as well. I would expect to see similar issues with the camshaft and cylinder bore as well. Note that the final product of the reaction is water and energy.

In 1673, a Frenchman named Jonas Dupont published a collection of spontaneous combustion cases in his work "De Incendiis Corporis Humani Spontaneis." The hundreds of spontaneous human combustion accounts since that time have followed a similar pattern: The victim is almost completely consumed, usually inside his or her home. Coroners at the scene have sometimes noted a sweet, smoky smell in the room where the incident occurred. What makes the charred bodies in the photos of spontaneous human combustion so peculiar is that the extremities often remain intact. Although the torso and head are charred beyond recognition, the hands, feet, and/or part of the legs may be unburned. Also, the room around the person shows little or no signs of a fire, aside from a greasy residue that is sometimes left on furniture and walls. In rare cases, the internal organs of a victim remain untouched while the outside of the body is charred. Not all spontaneous human combustion victims simply burst into flames. Some develop strange burns on their body which have no obvious source, or emanate smoke from their body when no fire is present. And not every person who has caught fire has died -- a small percentage of people have actually survived what has been called their spontaneous combustion. source=http://science.howstuffworks.com/science-vs-myth/unexplained-phenomena/shc.htm

5 Things You Should Never Do In A Turbocharged Car 5 Things You Should Never Do Playlist - https://goo.gl/SxoUi7 Subscribe for new videos every Wednesday! - https://goo.gl/VZstk7 1. This is especially true for turbocharged vehicles, because you also have oil feeding the bearings of the turbocharger, which spins at insanely high RPM and produces significant heat, so you want to make sure you have proper oil flow through the turbo. It will be different for every car, but it could be an additional several minutes before your oil temperature is near your engine coolant temperature. 2. Don't shut the car off immediately after running it hard. You’re going to have hot spots where the engine components, and especially the turbocharger, are still significantly hotter than your engine oil temperature. If you shut off the engine, the oil no longer flows, and thus pockets of the oil are going to be heated up to very high temperatures. These high temperatures break down the oil, and also burn up and evaporate the light end of the oil, leaving behind a heavier oil that won’t have ideal flow characteristics. This reduces your engine oil life, and also means you might have less protection at start-up. 3. Don’t lug the engine. Low Engine Speed, High Load Operations. First, this isn’t ideal because you’re telling your engine to move your vehicle quickly when it’s at a huge gearing disadvantage. Second, when your engine tries to produce more power at low engine speeds, it may be able to inject more fuel, but not ingest enough air. As a result, you’ll have a highly rich mixture and this can lead to poor emissions, damaging your catalytic converter, and seeing black smoke come out your exhaust. Third, regarding damaging your engine, this can cause low speed pre-ignition. LSPI is a when you have pre-ignition of your air fuel mixture (before your spark ignites it) and is becoming a more common phenomenon with small turbocharged engines running at low engine speeds with high load. It’s a dangerous condition that can cause engine damage, such as broken spark plugs or cracked pistons, as a result of extremely high pressures which occur due to significantly advanced ignition timing. It’s also very challenging to detect, and can’t be avoided through ignition timing or changing the spark plug’s heat range. 4. Don't use low octane rating fuel, especially if the car has been modified. Turbocharged cars tend to have higher pressures and temperatures within the combustion chamber, which is why they have reduced compression ratios to compensate. If your car is modified, you can keep it reliable by running a rich mixture and using high quality, high octane fuels. Obviously reducing boost and retarding the engine timing will do this as well, but of course you’ll be reducing performance. There are knock sensors to help minimize any engine problems, and so they’ll retard timing if it senses knock will occur. 5. Don’t floor it coming out of a corner. In this one I just wanted an excuse to talk about slip angles. Turbocharged cars have some varying amount of turbo lag, new ones are much better. My point is this, as you’re coming out of a corner, your tires have some loading on them, whether your car is FWD, RWD, whatever. Now this doesn’t apply to AWD quite as much, but it’s still an issue. Your car’s stability is a result of your front tire slip angles being nearly identical to your rear tires slip angles. So long as this is true, your car moves on its targeted path. If you floor a turbocharged car, especially cars with high amounts of turbo lag, you get slammed with torque fairly surprisingly. This shock of torque increases the demand of the driven tires, increasing their slip angle. If you have a significant increase of slip angle of just one set of tires, front or rear, you end up with understeer for FWD, or oversteer for RWD. All of this is to say that your throttle application exiting the corner is very important, especially in 2WD turbo vehicles, where turbo lag can easily cause an understeer or oversteer situation. READ THIS BEFORE WATCHING xD This be the story. *They all are insomniacs. Nihar(fair and thin)who is a decent person has some issues and he cant sleep with the light on. But his room mate Paul does all his work in the night and sleeps daytime. This continued for a few days and drove Nihar into a kind of sub-conscious state and roamed mad in the night. Dinakar is a psychopath(mid-level) and tends to hit others without any reason. He finds Nihar (They're friends already) drooling around and tries to calm him down. He calls his roommate Paul to know what happened to him. Paul, who be a drug addict, gets his weed and asks Nihar to try it thereby he gets addicted and sh t. They go all crazy and then all of a sudden Dinakar and Nihar get into a fight where Nihar knocks out Dinakar. Paul doesn't like Nihar going rogue so he tries to control him and thereby they both get into a fight.Paul, who at first is quite dominative loses his mind and Niahr chokes him to death. Then Nihar goes to his room turns off the light and sleeps well :D
